The AMERICAN DREAM is a 30 minute animated film that shows you how you've been scammed by the most basic elements of our government system. All of us Americans strive for the American Dream, and this film shows you why your dream is getting farther and farther away. Do you know how your money is created? Or how banking works? Why did housing prices skyrocket and then plunge? Do you really know what the Federal Reserve System is and how it affects you every single day? THE AMERICAN DREAM takes an entertaining but hard hitting look at how the problems we have today are nothing new, and why leaders throughout our history have warned us and fought against the current type of financial system we have in America today. You will be challenged to investigate some very entrenched and powerful institutions in this nation, and hopefully encouraged to help get our nation back on track.

Dr. Robert Muller is former Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations; Recipient of the UNESCO Peace Education Prize; Co-Founder and Chancellor Emeritus of the University for Peace in Costa Rica; and Nuclear Age Peace Foundation World Citizen honoree for 2002.
Dr. Muller was born in Belgium in 1923 and raised in the Alsace-Lorraine region in France. He knew the horrors of World War II, of being a refugee, of Nazi occupation and imprisonment. During the war he was a member of the French Resistance. After the war he returned home and earned a Doctorate of Law from the University of Strasbourg.
In 1948 he entered and won an essay contest on how to govern the world, the prize of which was an internship at the newly created United Nations.
Dr. Muller devoted the next 40 years of his life behind the scenes at the United Nations focusing his energies on world peace. He rose through the ranks to the official position of Assistant-Secretary-General and has been called the "Philosopher" and "Prophet of Hope" of the United Nations.
Robert Muller is deeply spiritual and from his vantage point as a top level global states-person has seen a strong connection between spirituality and the political/cultural scene.

The Aprovecho Research Centre has assisted the Programme for Biomass Energy Conservation in Southern Africa (ProBEC) in designing biomass stoves for institutional cooking in Lesotho, Malawi, Uganda, Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia. Over 1,500 institutional stoves have been produced and sold by entrepreneurs.
Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world. There is a huge problem of de-forestation, partly as a result of the high population density and also because large areas of land are taken up with cash crops such as tobacco and tea, which also use enormous amounts of wood for processing. Fuelwood and charcoal are the main fuels for cooking both in homes and institutions in rural areas.
In each country ProBEC has involved entrepreneurs in training workshops, where a woodstove of suitable efficiency for each country is developed and engineered with the assistance of an Aprovecho Research Consultant. The stoves are targeted at large institutions, such as schools, prisons and tea-estate kitchens, and use the Aprovecho 'Rocket' combustion approach to give high combustion efficiency and efficient heat transfer to the cooking pot. Practical experience suggests that using the stove saves at least 50% of fuelwood, sometimes more, which can give significant financial savings. The reduction in carbon monoxide and particulates provides a much healthier environment for institutional cooks. Stove production businesses are now well established in Malawi, Uganda and Lesotho, and have produced and sold more than 1,500 institutional stoves. Ken Chilewe, the main producer in Malawi, has made 700 of these.

United Nations, April 2012 - For the first time in human history, the world will soon have more older people than children. The human race is ageing and we are unprepared. Unless we change the way we think and act about ageing, we will miss the opportunity to age in good health and to build a society where older people are respected and valued members of society. That is why this year the World Health Organization is dedicating it's birthday - on 7 April - World Health Day - to healthy ageing.
Every year, World Health Day is celebrated on 7 April to mark the anniversary of the founding of WHO in 1948. Each year a theme is selected for World Health Day that highlights a priority area of concern for WHO.
World Health Day is a global campaign, inviting everyone -- from global leaders to the public in all countries -- to focus on a single health challenge with global impact. Focusing on new and emerging health issues, World Health Day provides an opportunity to start collective action to protect people's health and well-being.
Watch and share the official World Health Day 2012 video, and join the conversation on healthy ageing on Twitter #AddHealth2Life to be part of the change.

| In this complete interview, Tibetan Buddhist leader His Holiness the Seventeenth Gyalwang Karmapa reflects upon the meaning of oneness in this age. Noting how values of oneness hold the Tibetan culture in exile together, His Holiness describes how cultural cohesion has revivified the religious view of metaphysical oneness. His Holiness believes that religion and spirituality must adapt to reflect the evolving human condition, although root causes of suffering remain the same. Spiritual leaders and luminaries can facilitate this adaptation by connecting their spiritual power with the devotional power of the masses. Spirituality can be spread not through commodification, but rather through meaningful and conscious relationships intended to benefit the whole.

Mr. Ban said that the men and women who serve as humanitarian workers come from many backgrounds. But they share a conviction that one persons suffering is everyones responsibility.
He stressed the need for the international community to renew our commitment to help vulnerable, voiceless and marginalized people wherever they may be. That is the abiding mission of the humanitarian community.

Environment change threatens food security
Some 400, 000 Kenyans who grow 60 percent of the tea in the country risk losing their livelihood if a temperature rise of only two degrees Celsius occurs due to global warming as large areas would become unsuitable for the crop. The United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) says the agricultural sector is losing up to Shs 200 billion revenue because of soil erosion Large scale uncontrolled human activities like charcoal production, logging, settlement and crop cultivation pose a huge threat. Natural grass for wildebeest has significantly reduced due to expansion of large mechanized wheat farms in the Maasai Mara. The country is likely to be warmer in future up to five degrees Celsius unless urgent interventions were done. While some areas will experience increased drought, others are likely to have more rainfall spelling doom for low lying areas.

| Two buckets of safe water a day is the minimum a child needs to live, yet 4000 children die EVERY DAY because they don't even have that. For many, the dangers lie in collecting water -- a job often handed out to girls and women. Instead of attending school, a child may walk several hours a day to the nearest water source. Children's health improves and school attendance rises when water-pumps are installed in schools. UNICEF works around the globe installing latrines and pumps but 1.1 billion people still drink unclean water. Basic sanitation and hygiene education has a dramatic effect on reducing mortality and poverty.

United Nations, New York, January 24 2011 - 2010 was one of the deadliest years for natural disasters in the past two decades and unless better preparations are put in place now, many more disasters can be expected in years to come, the UN's top disaster reduction official said today.
Some 373 natural disasters claimed the lives of more than 296,800 people last year, affecting nearly 208 million and costing nearly $110 billion, according to annual data compiled by the Centre for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters (CRED) of the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium, and supported by the UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR), the UN body charged with helping coordinate efforts to achieve substantive reduction in disaster losses and build resilient nations and communities.

But the dream of peace, of one human family, is in the hearts of all people. When people taste peace they find it is sweeter than the enmity they are holding. This is what the GPF can offer.
